Blairmont Community Centre Cricket Club’s Marvan Prashad stood out as the Berbice Cricket Board held its first 50-overs Under-19 trial match yesterday at the Albion Sports Complex ground.
Prashad showed he was a cut above the rest with his exemplification of patience and elegant cover shots. The right-hander struck three boundaries and ran well between the wickets in making 41 not out before rain ended his innings.
The 17-year-old rotated the strike well and shared in a half century partnership with Shamal Angel who made 25 before holing out to Aaron Beharry at long on off of Jeremy Sandhia.
