Gayle, Emrit for US T20 tourney

MARGATE/FL – The Universe Boss Chris Gayle will feature at the 2020 US Open T20 tournament, which will be played from December 15-20 at the Central Broward Regional Park in Fort Lauderdale.

The West Indies T20 superstar will line up for Atlanta Param Veers at the tournament which is in its 12th year of operation. Gayle recently played at the Indian Premier League (IPL) in the United Arab Emirates with Kings XI Punjab. It will be his first outing at the US Open T20.

The Atlanta Param Veers will be led by Rayad Emrit who played at the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) with St Kitts/Nevis Patriots. Also in the squad are West Indies T20 players – pacer Kesrick Williams and left-arm spinner Fabien Allen.

The Trinbago Knight Riders spin duo, Akeal Hosein and Khary Pierre, are also included as well as another left-arm bowler, former South African all-rounder Wayne Parnell.    New Zealander Corey Anderson, who this week made the move to play for the United States, is also getting his first taste of action at the US Open.

All in all, this is a very strong team and they are in Group B with the likes of 22 Yards, Afghan Zwanan, and Brampton Pacers.
