A man who is accused of robbing a Corentyne vendor yesterday appeared at the Reliance Magistrate’s Court where he was charged and sentenced for robbery under arms.
Dhaneshwar Balgobin also known as “Blacko boy”, 27, unemployed of Chesney Housing Scheme, Corentyne, appeared before Magistrate Rabindranauth Singh, where he was charged with armed robbery of the vendor.
He pleaded guilty to the charge after the Administra-tion of Justice Act was applied and was then sentenced to 36 months in prison.
