The Guyana Olympic Association (GOA) has appointed a Women in Sport Commission comprising seven members of the local sports fraternity.
The objective of this Commission is in keeping with that of Panam Sports – To ensure the constant growth of women in both sport and leadership.
Some of the work will involve facilitating connections between potential players and the national associations/clubs, raising awareness of gender equality, sexual harassment in sport and anti-doping.
Said Chairperson, Tricia Fiedtkou “I am excited to be heading this diverse group of professional, independent and accomplished women and we will do our best to create a strong base to empower our girls and women for the future.”

Tatiana Woodroffe – Entrepreneur/ Swimming coach
The first engagement in early 2021 will be a Women in Sports Leadership workshop.
