A delivery man was on Friday evening held at gunpoint and robbed of his Honda XR motorcycle and other valuables at South Ruimveldt, Georgetown.
The attack occurred about 6.50pm, when Mark Noble, who works for Top Form Delivery Service, arrived at a customer’s Caneview Avenue, South Ruimveldt house to drop off a package.
He was relieved of his motorcycle, CH 7160, and other valuables including a bag which contained an undisclosed amount of cash.
Sunday Stabroek was told that when Noble arrived at the location, four men on two motorcycles pulled up alongside him.
One of the men disembarked his motorcycle, approached Noble and held him at gunpoint. The gunman ordered that he remain silent and hand over him motorcycle. Noble complied after which the men made good their escape.
The robbery was subsequently reported to police.
No arrest has yet been made. However, the police are hoping to retrieve CCTV footage from the area in the hope of identifying the perpetrators.
