The Ministry of Home Affairs will today launch an electronic survey within the Guyana Police Force (GPF) in an effort to determine whether ranks are satisfied with their jobs.
Police spokesman Assistant Commissioner Royston Andries-Junor said on Thursday that the survey will be conducted over a three-week period beginning today.
He said the survey seeks to establish whether ranks are satisfied at their posts and based on the responses, measures will be taken to improve the situation. “We propose to determine the level of satisfaction of the employees in the workplace and what are the probable measures to be taken based on the responses to the survey,” a statement from the GPF said.
According to the statement, the survey is important and will aid in identifying options that will result in better performance in an effort to maintain law and order in the court. “We support the view that it is crucial to retain an effective and proficient workforce as critical to the institution’s performance,” the statement added.
