Regal Masters powered their way to a seven-wicket win over WD Masters yesterday to become the inaugural champions of the Guyana Cricket Board/ Tropical Springs over-40 T20 champions.
At the Everest Cricket Club ground, rain caused the start of the match to be delayed by 105 minutes but when the skies cleared, Regal won the toss and inserted the West Demerara side who only managed 119 for eight at the end of their quota.
Regal then raced to 120 for three in 16.5 overs to cart off the $250,000 first prize purse.
