A New Amsterdam man is now hospitalized after he was involved in an accident along the Chesney Public Road yesterday.
Keon Joseph, 24, of Winkle Road, New Amsterdam, was rushed to the Port Mourant Hospital after the accident but was later transferred to the New Amsterdam Public Hospital where he is presently hospitalized.
Stabroek News was told that Joseph suffered a fractured rib.
Based on information gathered, motor car PXX 7300, which was being driven by Nanda Koarlall, 44, was attempting to turn into the Sunshine Supermarket along the Chesney Public Road to uplift some groceries she had purchased when she collided with Joseph who was on motorcycle CF 9025.
As of last evening Joseph’s condition was listed as stable, while Koarlall remained in police custody assisting with the investigation.
