Dear Editor,
Guyana is now in the hands of a new government and there is much work to be done with the aim of bringing relief to the people in every aspect of infrastructure works.
Foremost among these works should be roads. Roads are the lifeline of development and it should be given some degree of priority in the development plans.
I live in America and anywhere you travel in this vast country there is a network of quality paved roads. Roads will open up Guyana for development especially in farming and will not only bring much relief to the suffering farmers but will encourage farmers to increase production.
I urge the government to set up asphalt plants in every Region and to give some degree of priority to road projects and more especially to farming areas.
Yours faithfully,
M.S. Majeed
