Sport Minister urges volleyball federation to ‘produce more champions’

Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport, Charles Ramson (Jr.) has urged the Guyana Volleyball Federation (GVF) to “produce more champions” as he committed to providing more support to aid the development of the sport.

During a meeting with executive members of the federation on November 30, at the Guyana National Gymnasium to discuss the way forward for the development and revival of volleyball in Guyana, Minister Ramson highlighted several issues faced by the federation and gave guidance on how to take volleyball to the next level. 

“He was very participative in the sport during his school days,” a press release from the federation noted, following the meeting. According to the release, for several years, much support was not given for volleyball development.
