The family of the woman who died in an accident on the East Bank Demerara Public Road on Tuesday night, says she had left had their business place and hadn’t made contact with them for eight hours before her demise.
Dead is 33-year-old Ameena Sooklall, of Lot 21 B Peters Hall, East Bank Demerara.
Her younger sister who spoke with this newspaper yesterday said that from what the family has been told, Sooklall was on the East Bank Highway when the accident occurred. It is unclear to the family, where Sooklall was headed. Her sister said that Sooklall went home during the morning hours and then she headed to work. This newspaper was told that Sooklall works at the family business and she had to ship some products to Port Kaituma for the business. She left to go to the shipping company at around 4 pm and that was the last they heard from her.
