After a gap of nearly three months there will be a sitting of the National Assembly on December 23rd where a motion on the coronavirus pandemic will be debated and several new bills introduced but noticeably absent is any legislation pertaining to the oil and gas sector.
The last sitting of the National Assembly was on September 29th.
Among the bills to be presented for first reading is the Hire Purchase Bill which makes provision for the regulation of hire-purchase, credit sales and conditional sales agreements.
The pandemic motion in the name of Minister of Health Dr Frank Anthony also signalled in a resolve clause that the government will be tabling a Coronavirus Immunization Bill in the National Assembly early next year.
