Georgetown were declared winners of the Demerara Under-19 Inter-Association tournament after persistent rainfall made cricket impossible yesterday.
At the Everest Cricket Club ground, the champions were to be decided with undefeated Georgetown and East Bank, who had one win and a no result clashing at the Carifesta and Camp Street Club ground. In the end, the washout saw Georgetown retaining their title with nine points and East Bank settling for the runner up position with six points.
