Guyana has recorded 20 more COVID cases taking the total confirmed number to date to 6,125 while 7 persons are patients of the Intensive Care Unit.
Meanwhile, the regions to have reported new cases according to the Ministry of Health (MoH) are region 4 with 8 new cases, region 9 (5 new cases), region 10 (4 new cases) and regions 1, 7 and 8 with 1 new case each.
As of yesterday 36 persons were in institutional isolation while 604 persons are said to be isolating at home. Twenty persons are currently in institutional quarantine.
So far, 35,859 tests have been carried out. There have been 159 COVID-related fatalities as of December 17.
