Schlumberger Oil Field Services Guyana yesterday donated over $1.8M to the Dorothy Bailey Health Centre to assist in the painting of the building.
A City Hall release yesterday stated that a cheque for $1,872,000 was handed over by Caribbean HSE Manager Peter Cahill, and Construction HR Representative, Alicia Bess to Mayor Ubraj Narine and the City Hall finance team. Mayor Narine, Councillor Oscar Clarke, and Councillor Ivelaw Henry, all expressed their appreciation for the donation and assured that future donors from the oil & gas sector were welcome.
During their visit, the Schlumberger representatives were given a tour of the Centre and future projects on updating the Centre to a modernised standard were discussed, the release added.
