Former West Indies batting coach, Toby Radford, has taken a jab at the administration of West Indies Cricket over the years as he believes investment has led to teams going ahead of West Indies.
Radford compared the current West Indies unit over the last decade to that of the team that dominated the world and reckoned talent does not make it in this era. During Tuesday’s edition of the Mason and Guest radio programme he reasoned, “In the heyday when West Indies were pure talent the other countries were not investing, they’ve all invested and have all gone ahead of us not on ability but on investment and I would love to see some investment to take us forward.”
The Englishman pointed out that this venture includes, “Investment in facilities, investment in good pitches, investment in equipment so that the players who are going to be future West Indies stars have everything they need to become those West Indies stars.”
