Following two days of zero new cases, five more persons have tested positive for COVID-19, the Ministry of Health confirmed yesterday.
The new cases were recorded after 114 more persons were tested for the virus, thereby taking the total number of positive cases confirmed in the country to date to 6,298 from the 37,565 persons tested.
According to the Ministry of Health’s COVID-19 dashboard, two of the new cases were recorded in Region Four while the other three were recorded in Region Ten.
As a result, there are now 395 active cases, 387 of which are in home isolation while some eight are in institutional isolation. Seven persons remain patients at the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU), while 11 persons are in institutional quarantine.
