A Port Kaituma man, who was injured in a collision last Friday when the ATV he was operating toppled, has succumbed to his injuries.
Clarence Williams, 53, a boat captain of Citrus Grove, Port Kaituma, North West District, died at the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH), where he had been admitted.
Police had said that at about 2.07 pm on Christmas Day, Williams was operating an unregistered ATV and was proceeding at a fast rate.
The report added that Williams lost control while negotiating a turn and the vehicle toppled, leaving him unconscious.
He was picked up by public-spirited citizens and placed into a passing vehicle and transported to the Port Kaituma District Hospital, where he was examined before being transferred to the GPH for further medical attention. He was said to have suffered multiple injuries in the accident.
