Edward Skeete, known as ‘Pretty Boy’, is currently a patient at the Georgetown Public Hospital nursing two gunshot wounds after he was involved in a shootout with several men in James Street, Albouystown, on Monday.

Skeete is currently under police guard according to Crime Chief, Senior Superintendent Wendell Blanhum. Blanhum said that the shooting occurred around 9.15am on Monday.

His condition has been listed as stable.

According to Blanhum, Skeete was on James Street when an argument broke out and the shootout took place among Skeete and several other men which resulted in him being injured. No one else has been arrested.

On August 2, Skeete was one of five men wounded after a shooting incident at Magic City Lounge located in Garnett Street, Newtown. The shooting had claimed the life of taxi driver, Raymond Lindo.

This newspaper had previously reported that Lindo, Skeete, and four other persons, entered a party uninvited. While at the club an argument ensued among the uninvited group over a young woman. This led to a series of gunshots being fired inside the club.

In 2018 Skeete was acquitted of the murder of Ryan Clementson, who was shot near the Turning Point Snackette in Tucville, in July 2015. Skeete was freed by Justice Navindra Singh who ruled that there was not sufficient evidence to convict him for the killing of Clementson.

On April 9 last year, Skeete was also charged with shooting Zain Federson before robbing him of $900,000 in cash. On March 31, 2019, Federson was sitting in a Route 42 minibus, when he was attacked by Skeete and another man. Federson was shot once in the leg by Skeete, before the duo relieved him of the money.
