The Ministry of Health yesterday confirmed three new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of known positive cases in Guyana to 6, 351.
According to the daily COVID-19 dashboard, all three of the new cases are from Region Four. They were detected from 119 tests done.
It was also revealed that there are four persons in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 10 in institutional isolation, 279 in home isolation and 21 persons in home in institutional quarantine.
Based on the dashboards released from last Sunday to yesterday, 62 positive COVID-19 were confirmed from 1, 249 tests done.
Sixteen cases were confirmed on Friday, of which 1 each are from Region Three and Region Five, 9 from Region Four and 5 from Region Seven.
Since March, 5,894 persons have recovered from COVID-19 and 164 person have died as a result of the virus.
