Five persons were successful at the inaugural online Archery Judges seminar held recently.
They are Mohamed Khan, Robert Singh, Dr. Ricardo Stuart, Ryan McKinnon, and Nicholas Hing.
The Online Archery Judges Seminar was hosted by Archery Guyana in conjunction with World Archery, a release from the association stated.
World Archery is the International Governing Body for Archery.
According to the release, the training seminar offered a unique opportunity to 11 Guyanese participants, who, together with over 200 persons within the Americas, attended the training seminar.
The other five national judge candidates were Mala Mahadeo, Elizabeth Mason, Samuel Arjoon, Samira Duncan, and Audia Moe.
The graduates stated the release, are now uniquely placed to assist with the advancement and development of the discipline locally.
The release noted that national judges, depending on their personal commitment, can o open pathways to becoming Regional Archery Judges on the World Archery America’s and possibly an International Judge on WA (World Archery) roster of judges.
Secretary-General of Archery Guyana, Vidushi Persaud-McKinnon, congratulated the participants for successfully completing the course. She expressed great delight at the next step for Guyana which could mean the hosting of national, regional and international competitions.
