A total of ten persons are currently patients at the Liliendaal Centre for Infectious Disease and Control even as minor works continue at the facility.
This disclosure was made yesterday by Health Minister, Dr Frank Anthony who stated that although some minor works are ongoing, the facility is capable of taking its total capacity of patients at any time.
“Currently we have about ten patients that are in there, four of whom are in the ICU, and as you know we have capacity there for 25 persons in the ICU,” he stated during a COVID-19 update. In late November the ICU was fully operational and patients were then transferred to the facility.
