Woman struck by police bus died of multiple injuries

A post-mortem examination conducted on Dulmattie Boodlall, the woman who was struck down by a Guyana Police Force minibus at Nandy Park, East Bank Demerara, has established her cause of death as multiple injuries.

Boodlall, 58, of Golden Grove, was on her way to work when she was fatally struck down as she attempted to cross the highway at about 7:26 am on Tuesday.

A police report previously stated that at the time of the incident, the East Bank three-lane was active and the bus which is attached to the Tactical Services Unit was heading north along the western side of the eastern carriageway. It was being driven by a constable stationed at the unit and attached to former President David Granger.
