The Ministry of Health (MoH) yesterday disclosed that 41 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed, bringing the total number of known cases in Guyana to 6,510.
According to the daily COVID-19 dashboard, 12 of the new cases were from Region One, 1 each from Region Two, Region Three and Region Seven, 13 from Region Four, 2 from Region Five, 4 each from Region Eight and Region Nine and 3 from Region Ten. These cases were detected from 518 tests done across the country.
It was also revealed that there are 6 persons in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 41 persons in institutional isolation, 296 in home isolation and 43 persons in institutional quarantine.
The numbers indicated that there are 302 active COVID-19 cases in the country.
Additionally, the dashboard stated that 6000 persons who were infected with the virus have recovered.
