Twenty-seven competitors are set to vie for the Miss/Mrs/Teen/Mr India Worldwide Guyana titles this year.
“This year we will see a lot more of the contenders for all categories. All activities will be virtual unless the COVID guidelines change. These sessions will range from women empowerment to public images conferences, pageant training and industry workshop, Indian cooking, sari draping, yoga, and dance among others,” director of the organization Hashim Ali said.
He noted that the organization is excited to have the first staging of the Mr India Guyana pageant. In addition, 2021 will see the first competitions for Miss Teen India Guyana and Mrs India Guyana, though two representatives were selected at the Miss India Guyana Pageant 2019 to represent Guyana. Owing to the pandemic, last year’s pageant was cancelled.
