A 15-year-old boy was on Monday arrested at Charity after police found him with 4 grammes of suspected cannabis.
The Guyana Police Force reported that at approximately 12.50 pm on Monday at Charity, East Bank Essequibo, ranks on patrol observed the 15-year-old acting in a suspicious manner and decided to conduct a search.
The police said the teen was found with four transparent zip lock plastic bags containing a quantity of leaves, seeds and stems, suspected to be cannabis.
Following the discovery, the teen was arrested and taken to the Charity Police Station, where the illegal substance was weighed in the presence of his grandmother.
Up to yesterday the youth remained in the custody of the police.
