Royal Builders Inc. has submitted a proposal to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to construct and operate a stone quarry at Mabura Hill, in Region Ten.
According to a public notice issued by the EPA, the proposed project has been screened by the agency to assess the potential environmental impacts and it was determined that the project will not significantly affect the environment or human health. As a result, it has determined that an Environmental Impact Assessment is not required.
However, members of the public who may be affected by that project can lodge an appeal against the agency’s decision within 30 days of the publication of the notice.
