A 28-year-old gold miner was allegedly robbed at gunpoint yesterday morning by two men in Region One.
In a statement, the police identified the victim as Hanson Forde, a resident of Zeelugt Housing Scheme, East Bank Essequibo, who was attacked by the two men at Eyelash Backdam in the North West District. According to the police, the two unidentified men, who robbed Forde of a .32 Taurus pistol and seven matching rounds, were armed with a shotgun when they attacked the man.
