General Secretary of the People’s National Congress Reform, Amna Ally has been hospitalised at the Georgetown Public Hospital after falling ill during an outreach to the Essequibo Coast yesterday.
Stabroek News learnt that Ally was part of a team on a party outreach to Region 2 when she complained of feeling unwell.
Ganesh Mahipaul, who was a part of Ally’s team, confirmed that she had been hospitalised and is receiving treatment. He told Stabroek News that after the former Minister of Social Protection complaining of feeling ill she was taken to the Suddie Public Hospital and later brought by medivac to Georgetown.
He noted that when he spoke to Ally she was responding positively and “doing well.” The PNCR over the weekend was on an outreach to the flood-hit Pomeroon providing assistance to affected residents.
