The badly decomposed body of an East Coast Demerara man who went missing in the Canje Creek on Friday has been recovered.
Dead is Joachim Perez Peters, 33, of Friendship.
Stabroek News was told that the body was brought out from the area to the New Amsterdam Stelling and then escorted to the Bailey’s Funeral Parlour where a post-mortem examination will be done.
A source noted that due to the state of decomposition of the body it could not be determined whether there were any marks of violence.
