Minister of Housing and Water, Collin Croal has announced that $100 million has been allocated for remedial road works in several areas along the East Bank of Demerara.
According to the Department of Public Information (DPI), Croal announced this week that the project will come under the Ministry’s Community Road Repair and Enhancement programme in the 2021 Budget.
He noted that some of the roads to be looked at include those from Herstelling through to Mocha, as well as the Providence main road area. Covent Garden and Farm will also be improved immediately.
