Eight persons were taken into custody yesterday after the police in Region 4A (Georgetown to Agricola) conducted several cordon and search exercises throughout the division.
The police said that the exercises were conducted between 4.30am and 10.30am during which several houses, suspected drug blocks and individuals were searched.
The items which were unearthed are 179 grams of suspected cannabis, one HP laptop computer and four cellular phones.
An investigation is ongoing.
