Dear Editor,
`Eccles to Mandela Avenue road expected to finish by November’ – President” (online SN, 23rd January 2021) reads the bling headline.
I do not doubt that there is horrible congestion on the East Bank Demerara. What this points to is the need for proper planning in particularly zoning for residential, commercial and industrial land usage.
It means that successive governments in Guyana have failed in providing jobs to local communities so people have to travel further afield for work.
When you get your zoning right it reduces cost of water, electricity, etc including travel time and costs.
Yours faithfully,
Sean Ori
