Dear Editor,
Guyana is prone to flooding which is likely to increase if/when sea level rises due to global warming. Therefore, we need to come up with a Master Plan for development in Guyana.
Do we, (a) gradually move our capital to higher ground, or, (b) continue with the ad hoc development that has been taking place?
Funding needs to be provided to the University of Guyana (UG) so that researchers can study the effects of climate change and associated rise in sea level on Guyana over the next 100 years.
