Three robbery suspects were arrested and a quantity of marijuana along with two abandoned motorcycles were discovered after the police raided several properties in the Georgetown to Agricola district on Friday.
According to a police press release, ranks of Region 4A, acting on information received, searched several homes during which they discovered the items.
The raid was carried out around 03.30hrs.
During the exercise, the police added that three suspects were also taken into custody pending investigation into armed robbery offences.
Among those in custody are a 34-year-old resident of Tucville Squatting Area, Georgetown, a 28-year-old labourer of Non Pareil, East Coast Demerara, and a 48-year-old resident of Melanie Damishana, East Coast Demerara.
The marijuana amounted to 37 grams, the police said.
The items were lodged as the investigation continues.
