Two women were on Monday robbed at gun-point of cash and other valuables in the vicinity of the Wild Caught Fresh Fish Depot, at Meadow Bank wharf, Georgetown.
Renita Joseph, 43, of Onderneeming, West Bank Demerara, and Ariel Mangar, 19, of Prospect, East Bank Demerara, were robbed by two unidentified men, one of whom was armed with a gun, around 5pm.
A Guyana Police Force press release said that a large sum of cash and other valuables, including cellular phones and jewellery, were taken by the two bandits, who subsequently escaped using a red and black Honda XR motorcycle.
No arrest had been made up to yesterday.
