Guyana has recorded 52 more COVID-19 cases, according to the Ministry of Health.
As a result, the number of cases in the country has risen to 7,939.
The cases were detected from the results of 273 tests, the results of which were released yesterday via the Health Ministry’s COVID-19 dashboard.
The dashboard showed that 16 of the new cases are from Region Four, 15 from Region Ten, 6 from Region Three, 4 from Region Six, 2 from Region Seven and 3 each from Region One, Region Five and Region Eight.
Based on the dashboard from last Sunday to yesterday a total of 358 cases were detected from 3,684 tests.
Meanwhile, the dashboard also revealed that 5 persons are in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 54 in institutional isolation, 738 in home isolation and 14 persons in institutional quarantine. So far 6,962 persons who were infected with the virus in Guyana have recovered, while 180 persons had died up to Friday.
