Ansa McAl [GUY] Limited has renewed its over two decades sponsorship of the Rose Hall Town Youth and Sports Club (RHTYSC).
On Friday last, longstanding Chief Executive Officer/Secretary of the club, Hilbert Foster paid a courtesy call on Managing Director of the Beterverwagting, East Coast Demerara, Troy Cadogan, where he was informed of the decision.
“Cadogan informed the club secretary that the company was very impressed with the work of the award winning organisation and as such would renew its long standing sponsorship in 2021,” a release from the club stated.
The release added, “Foster hailed the company as one of the main reasons for the great success of the RHTY&SC and expressed gratitude to Cadogan, Beverly Harper and Paul Chan-A-Sue for their co-operation over the years.”
This year, the company will be co-sponsoring the club’s annual award ceremony and youth review magazine while they would also be fully sponsoring the eighth edition of the RHTY&SC/Ansa McAl Award of Excellence programme.
The 31st award ceremony of the club will be held in April on a smaller scale due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
The club will also honour several of its long-standing members for services over the last 31 years while the performances of several cricketers will also be recognized by management.
“A total of 30 awards would be shared out at the ceremony which would be held under very strict COVID-19 guidelines at the St Francis Centre,” the release stated.
Under the Ansa McAl Award of Excellence, a total of five outstanding Berbicians will be honored for their contribution in the fields of sports, culture, education, community development and charity. Each of the awardees will receive a trophy, medal of excellence, framed certificate and a collection of special gifts.
The 22nd annual youth review magazine would be published at the F and H Printery and would highlight the work of the club in 2020 and early 2021.
Foster stated that the company over the years has also supported the club television programmes, cricket academies, summer camps, Christmas village and charity programme among others. He assured Cadogan that the club would continue to uphold its high standards and would continue to represent the company brand with distinction. He described the relationship between the two organisations as very strong and fruitful. Country Manager Beverly Harper had served as the 4th Honorary Patron of the Club from 2010 to 2016.
