A twenty-one-year-old housewife was yesterday found dead in her yard with a black telephone cable in her hand.
The deceased has been identified as Yashoda Andrews also known as Debbie of La Retraite Squatting Area.
According to a police report, around 3.37 pm, Andrews was discovered by her neighbours lying motionless in her yard with the telephone cable in her hand. Persons who came to the dead woman’s aid removed the cable from Andrews’ hand before calling the police.
The woman’s body was checked for marks of violence but none was found.
Her body was taken to the West Demerara Regional Hospital where she was pronounced dead on arrival.
