The Guyana Defence Force (GDF) today said that five of its ranks stationed in the North West District are the subjects of a police investigation into an allegation of rape.
The GDF said that the soldiers are co-operating with the probe.
In a statement the GDF said that it wished to assure the public that it remains committed to the preservation of law and order.
