Royalty Air Service, a new charter company, yesterday launched its first flight between Ogle and Port Kaituma with the aim of delivering a high quality air service locally.
A statement from the company yesterday said that the air service is partnering with Roraima Air-ways and Jags Aviation to deliver air travel options between Ogle and the Region One communities of Port Kaituma, Matthews Ridge and Mabaruma.
In the statement, Operations Manager Mark Peters noted that they aim to deliver affordable, convenient and value for money air transportation for customers and air cargo.
“Apart from the very competitive pricing, the service is offering ticket delivery, online payment via Republic Bank and loyalty rewards. Royalty Loyalty, the rewards programme, yields a free roundtrip flight after 20 flights,” the statement said.
It noted that cargo under a pound will be transported for free while cargo above that carries a fee of $100 per pound.
Flights will be operated between Ogle and Port Kaituma on Sundays, Mondays and Thursdays, while flights will operate on Wednesdays and Satur-days between Ogle and Mabaruma from February 24, and between Ogle and Matthews Ridge from February 26.
Peters said that the company aims to differentiate itself through its service and affordability and Corporate Social Responsibility.
“We want to support the communities we operate in by providing opportunities for youths especially,” Peters said as he announced that the company will be embarking on socio-economic projects after consulting with the people.
The company also announced that it is currently constructing a luxury departure lounge at Ogle.
