Health Minister Dr Frank Anthony on Thursday said that the number of active COVID-19 cases in Region Seven is decreasing although Wara-madong still remains an area of concern.
Speaking during his daily COVID-19 update, Anthony said that in recent days, the number of COVID-19 cases in Region Seven has been declining and while Wara-madong is an area of concern, authorities expect these cases to also decline in the coming days.
He noted that a team is still in the area and the Ministry has been providing the necessary support to the community.
Waramadong is one of the major COVID-19 hotspots in Region Seven and has been an area of concern for a number of weeks. More than 60 cases have been confirmed in the community.
