The 4-month-old infant who died suddenly on Wednesday in Siparuta, Region Six, after experiencing breathing difficulties, has been tested for COVID-19.
Authorities are now awaiting the result of the COVID-19 PCR test, which was done a few hours after the baby’s death
According to a Guyana Police Force report, the infant died around 11.15 am on Wednesday. It was stated that the baby’s father, Andrew Joseph, 30, said that child was put to sleep on a bed at their home in Siparuta about 11 am.
