With spectators down to a minimal, E-Networks will now provide live streaming of the upcoming Guyana Motor Racing (GMRSC) and Sports Club Drag Race.
This is according to GMRSC boss, Rameez Mohamed who confirmed this yesterday of next Sunday’s event.
He stated, “Fans will not miss the action at the South Dakota raceway as the event will be streaming via the club’s Facebook page as well as broadcast on several local and cable channels.”
Among the channels that fans can witness the action in the comfort of their homes are E1, SKAR TV (Channel 102) as well as Tarzee TV in Bartica.
Mohamed indicated, “This move represents a great step forward in the sport because it’s something we’ve been trying to do for a long time and this time presents the perfect opportunity to test it.”
Mohamed added, “We may allow a limited amount of spectators into the venue but that is still in its discussion phase and we don’t want to speak more about that just yet.”
This stems from the COVID-19 guidelines which will also see masks and sanitization being mandatory for all persons involved.
In terms of preparation, the track is currently undergoing daily development in order to ensure no complaints over the surface.
The event is sponsored by AR Jiwanram Printery, Associated Construction Services, BM SOAT Auto Sales, Cyril’s Transportation Services, Homeline Furnishing, Imran Auto Works, KFC, KGM Security, Land Star Drilling Company, MMD Hollow Blocks and Pavers, Mohamed’s Enterprise, Motor Trend Service Center, Modern Building Solutions, Panko Steel Fabrication, Power Tech Sound Company, Prem’s Electrical, Ready Mix Concrete, Rush Energy Drink, Samaroo Investments Inc., Secure Innovations & Concepts Inc.
