LUCAS STOCK INDEX
The Lucas Stock Index rose 1.75 percent during the third period of trading in February 2021. The stocks of six companies were traded with 283,622 shares changing hands. There were two Climbers and no Tumblers. The stocks of Republic Bank Limited (RBL) rose 5.99 percent on the sale of 66 shares while those of Sterling Products Limited (SPL) rose 0.33 percent on the sale of 1,026 shares. In the meanwhile, the stocks of Banks DIH (DIH), Demerara Distillers Limited (DDL), Demerara Tobacco Company (DTC) and Guyana Bank for Trade and Industry (BTI) remained unchanged on the sale of 251,407; 28,380; 1,173 and 1,570 shares respectively. The LSI closed at 705.95.
