A man accused of stealing a quantity of clothes was yesterday released on $10,000 bail.
Rawle Abrahams, a 45-year-old labourer of Sparendaam, East Coast Demerara, appeared before Magistrate Sherdell Isaacs-Marcus in a Georgetown court, where the charge was read to him.
He pleaded not guilty to the charge, which stated that on February 10th, while in the vicinity of Camp Street, he stole a quantity of clothing, valued $20,000 and belonging to Jai Long.
However, according to the court prosecutor Abrahams was seen in CCTV footage taking the items.
He was granted bail and ordered to return to court on March 8, 2021.
