Police are still to identify the burnt body that was found near the Huaxin Supermarket at Enmore on the East Coast Demerara.
A post mortem is expected to be conducted either today or tomorrow.
On Monday, the Police revealed that 52-year-old Gopaul Seralall discovered a burnt body lying on the ground at the northern side of the supermarket and after reviewing footage from CCTV cameras it was found that at approximately 2:46 am, the deceased and another man were having an argument. It was explained that the suspected killer was seen holding onto the deceased before pushing him to the northern side of the fence.
The suspect was later seen picking up empty cardboard boxes as he headed to the same area where he had earlier pushed the deceased and at about 3:12 am he lit the cardboard boxes afire. He subsequently rode away in the western direction.
According to the Deputy Communications Director of the Guyana Police Force, Stan Gouveia, the body is still to be identified.
