Another local company has added its name to the list of ISO-certified companies in Guyana.
According to a Global Compliance Service release, Puran Brothers Disposal Inc of Klien Pouderoyen, West Bank Demerara is the latest addition to the list of ISO 9001:2015 certified companies in Guyana. The company is one of Guyana’s waste disposal companies with over 30 years of experience. The pursuit of the ISO 9001:2015 certification was among several initiatives by Puran Brothers to meet the demands of the nation’s burgeoning oil & gas industry. The attainment of an ISO 9001:2015 certification is a prestigious achievement, locally or internationally.
The ISO 9001:2015 standard is a Globally Recognized Quality Management Standard developed and published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). The certification provides a model for companies of all types and sizes, to use in building an effective quality management system by improving their internal systems. The standard is based on seven quality management principles, including having a strong customer focus, involvement of high-level company management, employee engagement, evidence-based decision making, an outlined process-based approach, relationship management, and an on-going improvement of operations.
Global Compliance Service (GCS) says it is the only accredited ISO Certification Body with a resident office in Guyana and is a wholly Guyanese owned and operated business. Its ISO Certifications are issued from its GCS office in USA through a “seamless” accredited process. The company’s aim is to provide more affordable and competitive ISO Certification, Inspection and Training Services to companies within Guyana, the release added.
