Anna Catherina labourer get eight months for gas station break-in

A labourer was on Wednesday sentenced to eight months in jail after he admitted to climbing through the roof of a convenience store and stealing credit and cash.

Andrew Arjune, 31, of Anna Catherina, West Coast Demerara, was arraigned before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan in Georgetown and he admitted to a break and enter and larceny charge.

He was sentenced to eight months in jail after pleading guilty to the charge that between February 19th and February 20th, at Vlissengen Road, Georgetown, he broke and entered the convenience store of Robin Lowe and stole a quantity of Digicel and GTT phone cards, two cellphones and cash, all totaling to $803,000, and property of Lowe.
