No.73 Young Warriors defeated Scottsburg United by 147-runs in the final round-robin match of the Upper Corentyne Cricket Association Ahmad Construction under-19 tournament yesterday.
However, Scottsburg will have a chance to redeem themselves in the final today at No.72 Cut and Load Ground.
Playing at the Cut and Load Ground, Young Warriors won the toss and batted, posting 288 for nine in 40 overs before dismissing Scottsburg United for 141 in 23 overs.
Berbice youth batsman, Sarwan Chaitnarine led Young Warriors’ batting line up with an unblemished 110 which featured 10 fours and five sixes.
He added 146 for the fourth wicket with Trevon Sukhu.
Sukhu brought up his second half century of the tournament and currently leads the zone in terms of runs after scoring 65, highlighted by seven fours and two sixes.

Khan struck twice in his second over, bowling Jamal Joseph (07) and Umesh Omapersaud with successive deliveries.
He also removed Omari Campbell and Andrew Shaw in the 13th over to end with 5-40.
Jabbar proved to be the perfect foil for Khan, picking up 4-30, quickly running through the lower order.
Siraj Chatterpaul provided some positivity at the top of the order, scoring 80 with four sixes and 10 fours, one of which was smacked through the covers to bring up his half century off of Chaitnarine.
Alameen Khan stroked three boundaries during his cameo of 16 but no other batsman reached double figures.
